Not only do they fail us as a personal fitting tool, but they make us feel bad by modeling an outdated, unrealistic “ideal” of how our bodies should be.

Some of us have tried to add padding to our standard forms to make them look more like us. But, they still fall short in emulating our posture and the relative positioning of our shoulders, neck, and torso. These are all critical for checking how a garment hangs and flows over the body.
